Summer’s End Student Showcase

In the Dark Circus Arts - Baltimore's Learning Center for Circus Arts presents their Summer’s End Student Showcase. These courageous students have spent countless hours preparing works from the heart to perform for their friends and family. You will be amazed at these original works, choreographed by the students themselves on the aerial fabrics, trapeze, lyra, sling, German Wheel and more!

Enchanted Circus: Performance & Children’s Workshop

Saturday April 22nd 3pm

Enchanted Circus is an experience for the whole family!  This performance & workshop will delight children of all ages.  Our adult performance students and coaches from In the Dark Circus Arts have a 40 minute show stacked with whimsical enchantment in the air and special apparatuses on the ground. Immediately following the performance is a 1 hour workshop for the children (and adults alike) featuring the aerial fabrics, tightrope, hula hoops & more.  There will even be a live mermaid to greet everyone upon entry.  To make this event even more special we are encouraging children (and adults too) to dress up in their most enchanted, fantastical costumes!  Think fairies, butterflies, knights, dragons, mermaids, mermen, etc.

The greatest circus show

In the Dark Circus Arts presents 'The Greatest Circus Show' - a tribute to the Greatest Showman! Come out and enjoy a full circus show packed with amazing talent on the aerial fabrics, trapeze, Cyr wheel, hula hoops and more. And that's not all! Directly after the show we have a fun for the whole family circus workshop where kids and adults alike can learn the aerial fabrics, hula hoops and tight rope! This is a unique opportunity for families to enjoy both a show and learning an amazing art.

Charm city fringe festival 2018

Artscape 2018

This year in the dark circus arts is hosting a circus workshop at the Baltimore theatre project on Friday July 20th at 3pm.  here you can give aerial fabrics and trick hula hooping a whirl and see what it's like to be a circus star!!!!

Saturday June 9th - Nights on the Fringe!

Come see IN the Dark Circus Arts perform a 15 minute set where we roll, spin and fly in the roaring 20's!

 'Let them eat Yule log'

Welcome to Let Them Eat Yule Log presented by Baltimore's own In the Dark Circus Arts! We are celebrating this holiday season with a traditional 18th century style holiday party - with a twist... we have brought the circus.... and yule log!  In this show we will take you back to a time with powdered wigs, satin shoes, waltzing, caroling and a household staff that is completely dysfunctional.  I mean it is the holidays...right?  You will be dazzled by acts on aerial apparatuses, amazed by the spinning Cyr wheel and amused by our hand balancers. Lastly, for those with a sweet tooth, you will not be disappointed with our finale!

The Mobtown Ballroom has a full bar so come ready to drink and be merry!  There is ample street parking by the ballroom but we always encourage our city folk to carpool and or use Uber/Lyft for easy access.

In the Dark Circus Arts is Baltimore's premiere circus school and performance company!
